I would like to develop a new area of interest for me. Specifically, I would like to gain a deeper understanding of political theory in order to link this theory with a new research path of public choice. In order to accomplish this goal I wish to develop a first-year seminar (to be offered at DePauw University) called Studies in Liberty. The primary objective of the course is to expose students to the various readings in liberty while, simultaneously, demonstrating the confluence of economics, The U.S. Constitution, political theory, and history. My background in economics, specifically finance and econometrics, hasn't exactly prepared me for such a course offering. As such, I would like the opportunity to explore readings in the area of liberty.
