The theme for this year's Sagan National Colloquium is "Cultivating a Green Campus," and students will hear from world-renowned speakers and implement initiatives to make the 200-acre campus more environmentally friendly.
Goals the event hopes to achieve include increasing student awareness of environmental issues, empowerment of individuals and groups to positively impact sustainability, and improving energy conservation and green initiatives in the community.
Speakers scheduled for this event include Bill McKibben, author of Deep Economy: The Wealth of Communities and the Durable Future and contributor to The New York Times and Rolling Stone.
All events are free and open to the public. For more information and to see a complete list of speakers and events, visit snc.owu.edu.
