Academic Council

The charge of the Academic Council is to consider current issues in curriculum and other faculty-related matters for two chief purposes: 1) advising GLCA as to timely areas for program development and 2) informing campus discussions with knowledge of current issues on similar campuses. Each member of the Council is charged with reporting to the Council on behalf of his or her campus and with reporting back to his or her Curriculum/Academic Programs Committee on Council discussions.

Each GLCA institution has two representatives on Academic Council. Normally a representative serves a three-year term. Three members of Academic Council serve on the Board of Directors, also for a three-year term. Membership on the Board rotates through the colleges.

Please contact Simon Gray for more information about Academic Council.
